This 3 on3 program is perfect for the player who wishes to play some competitive Spring hockey as well as improve on their overall hockey skills!
Objectives of the Program:
- Development of Individual Hockey Skills
- Core of the “player development” is within our 3 on ice skills stations.
- Having Fun
- Development of Life Skills
- Learning to deal with adversity – winning & losing dynamics of playing a sport.
- Winning is Last of Importance
- Fair and even are not the same & we CAN NOT guarantee wins.
Our 3 on 3 program sessions consist of 2 parts.
- First 30 minutes - we promote individual skill development of skating, puck control, passing and shooting. Every player is active, and we rotate skill stations while warming up the goalies as well.
- Last 30 minutes - we offer a condensed and “faster pace” full ice 3 on 3 play. Note: Scrimmage rest to work ratio is 3 to 1.
Schedule Format Includes:
- Seeding after the first 4 games
- Next 8 games regular season play
- 3 round robin playoff games and
- 1 championship trophy game and 1 consolidation winner game
- A total of 16 exciting skates!
High tempo - fun - fast paced – improvement of skills!
Handle the puck and skate more in one 3 on 3 game than in 5 regular season games.
More puck possession - more shots - more scoring - more FUN!
Refereed, score keeping each game and scoring stats published weekly during our “regular season play”.

You can view our equipment requirements HERE.
Ideally suited for but not restricted to:
- U13 - 1st yr U15 hockey players who wish to have ‘FUN’ in a positive learning environment and desire to develop their overall hockey skills, handle the puck more in games, get more shots on net and score goals!
- 1st yr U13 players (2015) must have played divisions AAA – Division 3 during the 2025 / 2026 hockey season to qualify for this program.
- NO RECREATIONAL or BEGINNER PLAYERS – we recommend one of our group development programs for Recreational or Beginner players. Email programs@tuckerhockey.com for assistance on selecting a group development program.
Notes:
- We do our very best to make sure our teams are competitive.
- We create 3 on 3 lines of similar levels to ensure a good competition and enjoyment from playing a fast paced 3 on 3 Spring program.
- After the first 4 games of the program, we may move players around from different teams to make the lines that play each other fairer and more competitive in nature. This does not necessarily mean each team will have equal number of games won/lost/tied. Our intention with moving players around is to keep the lines that are playing against each other competitive as possible. Wins/losses/ties in the game of hockey can never be controlled. Things to keep in mind regarding the operations of our 3 on 3 program which can have a large effect on wins/losses/ties are:
- Different strength goalies (we try our best to vet the goalies and select similar goalies for all teams, but this is not always doable),
- Player/goalie absences, player/goalie no shows and varying levels of subs can have a big effect on a team.
- Player communications to be directed to the Head Instructor regarding any feedback / complaints / issues. We encourage more 1 on 1 talks - player to on ice instructors.
- ANY communications received from parents that do not respect the “Standard 24-Hour Rule” will not be responded to unless a player is hurt or in danger.
- We will accept friend requests but can not guarantee multiple friend requests on the same team. We ask that you submit ONLY ONE reciprocal friend request. Any additional non-reciprocal friend requests will be considered; however, they will not be prioritized / guaranteed.
Good Sportsmanship:
- No body checking.
- No abrasive behavior towards off ice staff, on ice instructors or other players.
- Zero tolerance for bad sportsmanship. NO swearing, disrespect, & bullying on benches.
- Zero tolerance for bullying behavior in dressing rooms.
- Opportunity to win one of our two group 1 “Good Sport” Awards valued at $500 each.

If you are - do NOT register your child in our 3 on 3 program.
