Fall 2021 Minor Hockey
Danny Cammack Memorial Award Recipient:
Noah Szeles
This award was created in memory of Danny Cammack.
Danny Cammack had many of the passions of a typical 13-year-old, but none was greater than hockey. What Danny lacked in size, he more than made up for with smooth powerful strides, soft hands and an uncanny puck sense.

As much as he loved the game, he loved the camaraderie that came with being a member of a hockey team. Perhaps this is why he was such a good team player. Dan loved to win but it was not the “Be all, end all”. He always kept things in perspective. Doing his best and having fun on the ice was what Danny was all about!
Since 2004, this Tucker Hockey Award has been issued quarterly each year to worthy program participants.
Coach Rex selected Noah Szeles as the Fall 2021 Minor Hockey – Danny Cammack Memorial Award Recipient. Congratulations Noah!

A little about Noah:
- Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Noah Szeles. I’m currently 15 years old, and I’ve been playing hockey since I was 4 years old. I play left defence, and while I’m not exactly the strongest with my stick, I’m fast, a playmaker, and I’m able to defend 100% of the time. Coming to Tucker hockey not only improved what I was good at, but improved me overall as a player by improving on my weaknesses.
2. What do you like about the sport of hockey?
I love the sport of hockey because, well there are no other sports like it. Name one other sport that has the same kind of movement and strategies as hockey. Because of hockey being different from every other sport, it means that players need different strengths than other sports.

3. When and how did you initially get involved with Tucker Hockey?
I started going to Tucker Hockey last year when everything shut down with covid. Tucker hockey made it really easy to come back to hockey after the chunk of time covid took from everyone, and I haven’t regretted it a slight bit.
4. What has been the most enjoyable part of the Tucker Hockey experience for you?
The most enjoyable part of the Tucker Hockey experience has so far been being able to meet new, different minded people that all enjoy hockey as much as I do. It was nice to meet other people that all wanted to tone their technique in the game, but with different perspectives to it.
5. How has hockey influenced or positively affected your life?
Hockey has been able to give me a way to be constantly physical in a positive way, given me a way to meet more people in an easy way (I’m an introvert so it ain’t exactly easy lol), and hockey gave me the ability to get out the stress of being a teenager in a healthy way.
Editor’s Note:
Glad you have enjoyed the Tucker Hockey experience Noah!
You are very coachable. Keep enjoying your hockey.
Good luck on the ice this season.
Enjoy Minor Hockey Week as well.
See you on the ice in the New Year!
