Subject:  Alberta Government Imposing Temporary Measures 

To Our Loyal Tucker Hockey Participants, Parents, and Hockey Friends;

The Government of Alberta in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS) declared on Wednesday September 15th a state of public health emergency. Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise, largely due to unvaccinated Albertans. The temporary measures are in place to reduce the impacts of COVID-19 on the health care system.

So, you may be wondering how this will affect Tucker Hockey’s 2021 Fall programs?

The health and safety of all participants in our Tucker Hockey Programs is of paramount importance. As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to evolve, Tucker Hockey is taking every precaution necessary to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

TUCKER HOCKEY COVID – 19 VACCINE POLICY:

As a measure of caution and priority against COVID-19, Tucker Hockey will require that all vaccine eligible participants (anyone 12 or older), including players, on ice instructors and off ice staff for the 2021 – 2022 hockey season be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. These measures will be in place as of September 18th, 2021.

Participants must be prepared to show “proof of vaccination” at our registration table on the first day of program start up. Without proof of vaccination, individuals will not be permitted to participate and enjoy our hockey programs.

Note:

  • You are considered fully vaccinated if you have received 2 doses of a Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine and 14 days have passed since your second dose.
  • Those under the age of 12 will NOT need to provide proof of immunization.
  • Albertans can access copies of their Covid-19 vaccination records through MyHealth Records. For the time being please avoid logging into MyHealth Records to download your records. The printable card, which was going to be available on Thursday September 16th, will now be available on Sunday September 19th.

2021 FALL PROGRAMS:

  • Minor Group Programs are scheduled to start – Friday October 8th, 2021
  • 1 on 1 Individual Programs are scheduled to start – Friday October 15th, 2021
  • Adult Group Programs are scheduled to start – Friday October 22nd, 2021

NEXT EMAIL BLAST PROMOTION:

The week of September 27th we will be sending out our email promotions for our Fall group programs as well as our 1 on 1 coaching availability. This information will help you make the right choices about your Fall Hockey Development.

TEAMWORK:

However, in the meantime, it is more important than ever for all of us to continue to follow the restrictions and to do our part to fight this pandemic.

  • Screen for symptoms
  • If not feeling well stay home
  • Wear a mask in indoor public places
  • Maintain our physical distancing – 2 metres apart – when possible
  • Reduce our indoor social gatherings
  • Most importantly – “GET VACCINATED”
