This award is named the “Brad Memorial”. It is in memory of Bradley Mersereau, who was an avid participant in Tucker Hockey Adult Programs. Brad never represented himself as a great skater, or, for that matter, a good hockey player. He just loved getting out and being active. He always found a healthy balance between family, work and the enjoyment of hockey. He was a “true friend” and “hockey enthusiast”.

Coach Rex has selected Larry Ngo as the Fall 2019/Winter 2020 recipient of the Bradley Mersereau Memorial Award. We are appreciative of Larry’s loyalty to Tucker Hockey and are happy to extend this to him.

Here are a few words from Larry:

“I have always followed hockey and as a recent adult beginner, have quickly gained a higher level of appreciation through playing. Life’s problems are forgotten and dividends are paid for the efforts invested at the rink.  The social aspect of meeting, learning from and helping others is an unadvertised aspect of the sport that sparks such an admiration for the game and our community.

The team at Tucker Hockey enabled me to ignite this passion with their engaging and supportive camps. I have come a long way and look forward to honing my skills through continuing my love affair of this fantastic sport. Many have helped me along the way and I strive to pay it forward to others as well. Thank you for the honour and for supporting me in this lifelong journey of hockey.”
