Subject:  CANCELLATION of 2020 Spring Programs

To Our Loyal Tucker Hockey Participants, Parents, and Hockey Friends:

GENERAL COMMENTS:

We trust that everyone is staying safe and making educated decisions for each other. With each passing day, it’s becoming more apparent that this pandemic will adversely affect us for a long period of time. The disruption to our lives requires self-discipline as we adjust to new routines. Please be vigilant about taking care of your physical and emotional health in the coming months. The stress and uncertainty surrounding finances has become quite daunting. As everyone continues adjusting to the new norm, it is important to remember that we are participating in a marathon, not a sprint.

As previously mentioned, this is a very concerning time for me. I am preoccupied with protecting my small hockey business. I have poured my heart and soul into Tucker Hockey for the last 20 years. It’s my life and my passion! I have not had any business income coming in since mid March and this may continue until July or even later. It’s critical that I bridge my business operations until things get back to normal. Therefore, I value and respect your understanding as we move forward together in this unpredictable time.

2020 SPRING PROGRAMS – CANCELLATIONS:

Last week, the City of Calgary announced the cancellation of all public events until June 30th and the Alberta Government health authorities indicated COVID – 19 will not peak until mid-May. As a result, there will not be any hockey programs operating in the rinks this Spring. Effectively immediately, all of our Spring Programs are cancelled. Please read our 2020 Spring Program Cancellation Policy in the link provided below:

2020 SUMMER PROGRAM POLICIES & DIRECTIVES:

At this time, we are still planning and organizing our Summer Adult and Minor group programs. Online registrations are being accepted at tuckerhockey.com. However, this does hinge on arenas being opened. We are optimist that the vigilant health care measures being taken will result in life returning to normal by mid or late summer.

2020 SUMMER PROGRAMS SCHEDULED:

1 on 1 Coaching Programs start – Monday July 27th, 2020

Minor Group Programs start – Tuesday August 4th, 2020

Adult Group Programs start – Monday August 17th, 2020

We promise to keep you in the communication loop as soon as we know of any developments affecting our Summer programs.

STAY HEALTHY & SAFE:

We thank you in advance for all of your support, understanding, and consideration as we navigate the Pandemic alongside you. I hope to see you at the rink again soon!

In the meantime, it’s a time to reflect and count our many blessings. Blessings of: family, friends, health, home and indoor activities. These activities can include but are not limited to exercise, listening to music, reading books, watching TV, connecting with love ones and doing self development activities.
