Published June 25, 2025

Tucker Hockey’s 2025 3 on 3 Spring season wrapped up this June, at the Edge Arena. Each of the 8 teams played an exciting 36-minute game during their last session which showcased how much development all the players gained over the prior 15 sessions. Both the U13 – 1st yr U15 and 2nd yr U15 – U18 groups had a Championship Trophy Game as well as Award presentations for:

Editor’s Note:

Our 7th Annual 3 on 3 Spring Program was a big success!

There are many people to thank!

Firstly, our dedicated-on ice instructor team of:

Head Instructors:

Bobby Zinkan & Chad Labelle

Assistant Instructors:

Hunter Brown, Korwin Brost, Nic Morency, Rob Frid & Ty Koch.

Excellent job team delivering the 64-session program which included overseeing our 3 separate

development on ice stations, managing the 3 on 3 fast paced full ice play and helping to develop the

players each week in a positive & fun learning environment!

Secondly, our dynamic off-ice administrative team of:

Assistant Business Manager

Candace DiGiacomo

Assistants:

Tara Flannery and Marcela Tucker

Supreme work ladies dealing with player registrations, creating team rosters for each ice session,

scoreboard management / stats and fielding parent inquiries and other countless administrative details

throughout the spring. Well done! Bravo!!

We strive each Spring to provide the best 3 on 3 development experience possible for everyone

within our tried-and-true program methodology. We know each individual player is a better player

after participating in our program whether win or lose.

Please remember it is not all about winning and losing.

Rather developing each player’s hockey skills and life skills to get them to the next level of hockey

and having fun at the rink as well.

When watching the championship games I was really impressed with the strong team play, smart puck

management, responsible shift changes, good communications and intense play on the ice.

It warmed my heart to witness the growth and development of the players.

A big improvement from start to finish – learning how to play 3 on 3 fast paced hockey.

For the first time in the history of our program, we had a championship game extend to sudden death

overtime to determine a Winner! Drama! Wow! What an exciting finish to our Group 1: U13 – 1st year

U15 Division!

Last but not least, a special thank you to the enthusiastic players and their dedicated parents / families

who wished to experience our spring hockey development. Thank you for coming out!

We hope to see you again at the rink soon! Have a great Summer! Hockey & Smiles!!

Best wishes,

Yours in Hockey,

Rex Tucker
